Questions
Does Clean Submit rewrite my text?
No. It flags issues. The optional copy fixes only unambiguously safe spacing and punctuation; hidden characters are only reported and can be removed in the separate cleaner after you choose to do so.
Is my text sent or stored?
No. The audit and safe cleanup run locally in your browser.
What does the report check?
TODOs, placeholders, and unfinished notes. Link placeholders and numeric or Markdown reference-marker gaps. Hidden characters, punctuation, and spacing. Empty list items and repeated lines.
What can this check miss?
This is a technical preflight, not a fact check, citation verifier, or guarantee that a submission meets institutional rules.
